| Description: | An After-the-Fact Installation inspection was conducted on August 29, 2024, with Rebecca Maib, Environmental Specialist II, with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Marty Gierlach, Senior Construction Manager, and Brad Ostendorf, Senior Environmental Scientist, with AdkinsRealis, in coordination with Broward County. The facility installed a (1) 6,600-gallon coastline Power Solution Double Wall (DW) Steel Storage Tank (EQ #533) for diesel emergency generator on September 22, 2023. The tank had fill port spill containment (EQ #345), OPW 61 f-Stop overfill prevention valve (EQ-225), and Krueger Sentry gauge (EQ #730) for overfill protection. Advanced Control Technology 10 Series Miniature for interstitial monitoring for release detection (EQ #832) and Madison M7000 Hi level sensor (EQ-682) for overfill. The System is monitored by the DGC – 2020HD Control Panel. The housing for the generator had been damaged by a shade canopy landing on the housing during a storm. The tank did not appear to have any damage. The tank and components did not appear to have any signs of corrosion during inspection. The Department issued an Area of Concern due to Fill Port was not in color-coded in accordance with the American Petroleum Institute (API) standard for diesel at time of inspection. The department received photos of the API color-coding on September 5, 2024. An Area of Concern was issued due to a manual alarm history log was not provided since the electronic panel is unable to print an alarm history long. The department issued violations for the facility not providing the Integrity Testing for the Fill port’s Single-walled (SW) Spill containment, Interstitial Integrity Test, Placard was not purchased before fueling, Financial Responsibility for September 2023 – December 2023, Annual Operability Testing for 2023 and 2024, and Monthly Inspection Reports from September 2023 – July 2024.
