| Description: | Store was damaged in 2018 hurricane, now there is no building on site, only 4 dispensers and tanks/spill buckets are there. TANKS: Tank #6 is a 10,000 Gallon, Double Walled, single compartment, ACT 100, Newberry Tank Equipment UST – (EQ-339) installed in August 2007. Tank #7 is a 15,000 Gallon, Double Walled, compartmented, ACT 100, Newberry Tank Equipment UST – (EQ-339) installed in August 2007. Tank #6 & #7 were registered as out of service in October 2018 (Hurricane Michael). The tanks can remain out of service until October 2028, but the facility must maintain environmental pollution liability insurance for the tanks and conduct bi-annual monthly inspections. By October 2028, the tanks must either return to service or be properly closed in place/removed from site. If the tanks are going to be returned to service, then all equipment will be required to be tested prior to the tank being placed into service and the testing submitted for review prior to placing the tanks in service. If the tanks are going to be properly closed, contact this office a minimum of 30 days prior to closure to obtain the necessary paperwork. I called Evan to see if he could get a hold of the Ritz Owner to contact the insurance Co to see if they will insure the tank if it is out of service. If they will not, we will leave the tanks registered as in service and send the facility to enforcement and the district office can work with them from that point. The problem is, the facility is due to enforcement on Monday. If we do not hear back from them by 3 or so, you can go ahead and send them to enforcement and we can update the district on what the insurance company says and they can go from there. I have put a few emails and phone conversation in FIRST under compliance assistance projects so that they can see what has been going on when/if they receive the case. | ||||||||||
