Size of Assessment Area: SURFACE: This system obtains water from one or more surface water intakes on a river, lake or
reservoir. Assessment areas were determined using the following:
(1) upstream areas within a 72-hour in-stream time of travel to each intake,
including the 100-year floodplain plus a 200 foot buffer to the floodplain; and
(2) for lakes or reservoirs, the entire surface area of the lake or reservoir
plus a 200 foot boundary.
