12/11/2015 Site Inspection Routine; Used Oil Transporter - Routine; Used Oil Transfer Facility On December 11, 2015, Brittany Pierce And John White, Florida Department Of Environmental Protection (Fdep), Inspected Ring Power Corp, For Compliance With State And Federal Used Oil Transportation Requirements. The Facility Was Represented By Frank Verk, Service Manager. Ring Power Corp Is Located At 415 Community College Parkway Se, Palm Bay, Florida. The Facility Was Issued Epa Identification Number Fld982138521 On January 6, 2004. The Facility Is Currently Registered As A Used Oil Transporter, Used Oil Transfer Facility, Used Oil Filter Transporter, And Used Oil Filter Transfer Facility. The Current Registration Expires On June 30, 2016. The Facility’S Most Current Liability Insurance Policy, On File With The Department, Expires April 1, 2016. The Facility Has Approximately 48 Employees, And Operates Monday Through Friday, 7:30 Am To 5:00 Pm. | Ring Power Corp Was Inspected As A Used Oil Transporter, And Was In Compliance At The Time Of The Inspection. | The Facility Is A Heavy Equipment Rental And Repair Company. Heavy Equipment Is Serviced At Job Sites By Facility Personnel. Service Provided Includes Oil Changes. One Preventative Maintenance Compartmentalized Truck Is Used By The Facility To Collect Used Oil And Used Antifreeze. Maintenance Work Occurs In Two Buildings. Each Building Contains Multiple Bays For Repair Work. Oil Recovery Stations Are Found Within The Bays. Pump Stations, Which Pump Oil To The Used Oil Storage Tanks, Are Located In Both Buildings. The Driver Of The Preventative Maintenance Truck Off Loads Used Oil Into The Pump Station. Maintenance Services Performed On Equipment At The Facility Also Generate Used Oil Filters And Absorbents. Used Oil Filters And Used Absorbents Were Stored In 55-Gallon Drums Located On Secondary Containment Within The Shops. All Containers Were Properly Labeled. Used Oil Is Stored In Double-Walled Aboveground Storage Tanks Located Outside Both Buildings. Stored Outside The First Building Was A Compartmentalized 1000-Gallon Tank, For Storage Of 500-Gallons Of Used Oil And 500-Gallons Of Used Antifreeze. Stored Outside The Second Building Was A Compartmentalized 2000-Gallon Tank, For Storage Of 1000-Gallons Of Used Oil And 1000-Gallons Of Used Antifreeze. All Tanks Were Labeled Appropriately. Records Review: Service Records Include: Site Identification, Purchase Order Number, Date Of Service, Gallons Of Used Oil Removed From Equipment, And Equipment Identification Number. Used Oil, Used Oil Filters, Used Antifreeze, Oily Water, And Spent Absorbents Are Collected By Synergy Recycling Of Central Florida, Located In Winter Haven, Florida. Halogen Testing Is Performed On Used Oil Collected By Synergy Recycling. The Last Collection Occurred On December 8, 2015. Synergy Collects Used Oil From The Facility Between One And Three Times A Month. The Used Oil Registration And Current Liability Insurance Policy Was Posted Within The Facility. Bi-Monthly Safety Training Meetings Are Provided For Employees. The Most Recent Training, Completed On December 7, 2015, Covered Contamination Control.
